I am teaching and loving and being open again.

☀️ The sun is letting out parachutes for attention.

Meanwhile… His word choice mid-morning [raspy voice] makes every morning jealous of mornings we haven’t had yet… and then cold-pressed orange juice and my step class.
Everything else is boring enough.
And he’s listening attentively and responding like there’s a time limit he gets with me. ❤️ Every time he breathes epiphanies jump off swing sets in my chest.
I land in the sand. Yes.
I land in the sand, and it’s my best life… ⌛️… In the broken hourglass with sand spilling out. It’s all slipping through my hands. It’s all slipping through misunderstanding.
And the words I want to say just choke in my throat, and won’t come out my mouth.
And I don’t deserve how beautiful this hurts,

The way a person thinks is the most important thing to me. I want to see a person correct his or herself. I want to see a person grow and learn and accept a fault. I want to see *the way* a person fails, or prevails. Because we all do.

The bottom line is he didn’t.
So what I didn’t do as a response doesn’t matter. Why didn’t I run up and jump into his arms? Why didn’t I kiss him in broad daylight and shock the birds and call up Winter tell it and all that I’ve got a forever of Sundays in my pocketbook and we can spend it all in one place. Why didn’t I show up? Face lit… with every dream I premeditated. Every guilty reason I was so ashamed of. Every promise I cannot make mention. Every slow breathing sigh I make when I stir up why. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But he was indifferent.

And I can hint. He can miss. We can permeate from a distance. Only thing matters is this:

I don’t know if it was ever real from you.
I know it is there though, no matter how it smashed into the floor.
Into zillions of pieces.
You breathe in my heartbeat when I say no.
Like runaway flowers browning at the edges of my table.
Or drowning like a sailboat so unsteadily.
For me… I can’t say I wouldn’t prefer the experience.
The swirling it does as a warning.
Every morning I’ve had with you.
Every evening I’ve laughed with you.
Every time I smile, I need you to know I adore you.
